Dr. Omar Z. Tahir brings expertise to our team of vascular specialists, with years of experience practicing in the Greater Chicago area and Quincy, Illinois. Originally trained in Family Medicine and General Surgery, Dr. Tahir transitioned to a vascular focus in 2015 after completing a Fellowship in Vascular Surgery.

He earned his medical degree from Charles University in Prague—one of Europe’s oldest and most picturesque institutions. His training includes a residency at the University of Kansas Medical Center, along with a Fellowship in the Burn and Wound Unit within their Department of Plastic Surgery.

Dr. Tahir also pursued postgraduate studies at Sacred Heart Hospital in Allentown, Pennsylvania, and the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville. He completed his Vascular Surgery Fellowship at the esteemed RUSH University Medical Center in Chicago.

Now based in California, Dr. Tahir bringing a global perspective and a deep commitment to patient care.
